I have created QR codes to go with each level of Bloom's Questions. I have displayed them on a wall in my classroom for students to scan when they want to answer a question about what they are reading. This has been a great tool to allow students to answer questions at their level as well as higher order questioning. My students have been using the iPads to scan the QR codes during Independent Reading and Buddy Reading. This has been a great tool to have students implement questioning for differentiation before, during, and after reading.

We have had a great start to our school year with an exciting visitor to talk to our students about Bully Prevention. Thanks to Matt Wilhelm, a professional BMX bike rider, to come talk to all of our students about Bullying. He discussed his bullying when he was in school and to never give up, no matter what. Matt was a finalist on America's Got Talent and has been in the X-Games. This was a goal of his that he achieved because he "Never" gave up. His assembly contained of stories from his past and how he never gave up on what he loved---Riding his BMX bike. He also told the students that it took him weeks to learn some of the tricks that he performed for our students in the TC Gym. The students and teachers were engaged the entire assembly. We loved hearing his stories of struggles to which he turned into accomplishments. Also, he filled our gym with cheers while he showed us many bike tricks, such as jumping his bike over four of our teachers! Wow, what a great day!!!!
